Together a bat and a ball cost $1.10. The bat costs a dollar more than the ball. How much does the ball cost?
at first i thought it was 10 cents..but then yo, x+x+1= 110<BR/><BR/>cuz x = ball and x plus 1 = cost of bat..<BR/><BR/>so you get 2x plus 1 = 1.10, subtract 1, you get 2x =.10, and x = .05 :)<BR/><BR/>ball cost $0.05.
i dont get this problem! im only in 7th grade!i thought it was .10 but then u explained it then yea.. the real answer is .5!

Although the algebra seems to be accurate, I believe it can be 10 cents, because based on the wording of the problem, that can also apply. <BR/><BR/>forward it to iftikhar uncle..ha.
