Here’s a fun brain teaser/logic question that drove me crazy for a few minutes until it finally hit me:
Together a bat and a ball cost $1.10. The bat costs a dollar more than the ball. How much does the ball cost?
at first i thought it was 10 cents..but then yo, x+x+1= 110

cuz x = ball and x plus 1 = cost of bat..

so you get 2x plus 1 = 1.10, subtract 1, you get 2x =.10, and x = .05 :)

ball cost $0.05.
i dont get this problem! im only in 7th grade!i thought it was .10 but then u explained it then yea.. the real answer is .5!
alrite i really was gonna say 10 cents but all the math i see posted here makes me feel dumb and retract my answer… 🙁
Although the algebra seems to be accurate, I believe it can be 10 cents, because based on the wording of the problem, that can also apply.

forward it to iftikhar uncle..ha.
